The school has two locations, one in Corso Porta Mare and one in Corso Ercole I d’Este, where the four-year Experimental Linguistic Liceo and the new Istituto Tecnico Informatico are located.

Palazzo Gulinelli is located in Corso d’Este I, in the heart of Ferrara’s Addizione Erculea, the famous Renaissance expansion of the city. The building conveys all the charm of Ferrara’s history: frescoes, broad stairways, large bright rooms, and an internal garden of 2100 square meters.
Palazzo Gulinelli has recently been renovated, achieving the GOLD certification of the energy-environmental GBC Historic Building® protocol for the upgrading and sustainable restoration of historic buildings.

On the top floor of the building, you will find Smiling Loft Apartments, a residence available for university or high school students coming from outside Ferrara.
The location of Corso Porta Mare is where the Early Years and the first two years (1st and 2nd grade) of Primary School are located. The building is a renovated former monastery that has now become a welcoming, lively and cheerful school with two beautiful gardens, one of which overlooks the city walls.

Both locations of Smiling International School feature state-of-the-art computer labs, a gym, large gardens, and a kitchen with canteen.
