FERRARA CITY OF THE ARTS
Ferrara is a city of the arts, rich in history and architecture, with its nine kilometers of walls surrounding the historic centre. Within a 5-minute walk from Palazzo Gulinelli, one of the two locations of Smiling International School and Smiling Loft Apartments, you can reach the city walls area, which today constitutes a large ring-shaped park, perfect for long walks and jogging.
FERRARA CITY OF CULTURE
Ferrara is a city of culture, with Boldini, its art-house cinema, and three theatres: Sala Estense, Teatro Nuovo, and the Claudio Abbado Municipal Theatre. The University of Ferrara: founded in 1391, it is one of the oldest in the world. Today thousands of university students, from every city in Italy and from abroad, live in the city of Ferrara during the academic year.

Ferrara tasty city. Among all the traditional food recipes, pumpkin cappellacci and maccheroni pasticcio stand out: if you are stopping by you must absolutely taste them! And you can’t give up Ferrara bread: created during the Renaissance, and even depicted by De Chirico in the painting “The language of the child”.
