Dalle 17:00 – 23:00 – Una mostra di chitarre gitane all’interno della scuola di musica. L’ammissione è gratuita.

Società Canottieri di Pontelagoscuro

Ogni venerdì sera, durante il mese di giugno, rilassati con un aperitivo mentre navighi lungo il fiume Po. La barca parte alle 20:00 dal circolo Canoa di Pontelagoscuro, appena fuori Ferrara.
La gita in barca e l’aperitivo costano 20 euro che possono essere pagati a bordo.

Bike Night da Ferrara al Mare

Ritrovo al Parco Massari dalle 20.30. poi.
Partenza a mezzanotte!
Non preoccuparti, questa non è una gara. Si tratta di un giro in bicicletta lungo il fiume Po di notte, adatto per le abilità ciclistiche di tutti. Una pista ciclabile pianeggiante, tre punti ristoro lungo la strada e colazione all’arrivo. Questa manifestazione, la cui prima edizione si è svolta nel 2014, è diventata molto popolare.
Per partecipare è necessario registrarsi, sia on-line in anticipo o il giorno stesso (fino a esaurimento posti). Al punto di incontro di Parco Massari, è possibile noleggiare biciclette, caschi e persino l’assicurazione per l’evento pagando un piccolo supplemento. Sarà disponibile un autobus (con trasporto biciclette) per tornare a Ferrara, due partenze la prima alle ore 8:00 la seconda alle 12:00, il costo è di 20 euro (per una persona e una bicicletta).

– Tiro con l’arco
– Laboratorio medievale: i bambini potranno cimentarsi come sbandieratori o tamburini.
– ore 17:00 Prove di cavalcatura su pony
– ore 17:30 una rappresentazione teatrale
– Incontri con Luigi Dal Cin, autore di letteratura per bambini
Un programma ufficiale non è ancora stato reso pubblico. Tuttavia possiamo dirvi che solitamente la manifestazione, oltre al Festival dei bambini, propone altri eventi tra cui una fiera gastronomica dal 7 giugno al 24 giugno (vedi sotto, nella sezione dedicata alle sagre).
Alla manifestazione potrete inoltre trovare: un mercato medievale, spettacoli pirotecnici, film e spettacoli teatrali per bambini.

Al festival del Giostro del Borgosono presenti ottimi stand gastronomici con piatti interessanti da provare. Ci sono naturalmente i piatti tradizionali ferraresi, ma potrai assaggiare anche risotto ai frutti di mare, cinghiale con polenta, manzo con rucola e parmigiano, anguilla fritta e anelli di calamaro.

Sunset Aperitifs on the River Po

Every Friday evening, during the month of June, relax with an aperitif whilst cruising along the River Po.
The boat leaves at 8 p.m. from the Canoe club in Pontelagoscuro, just outside Ferrara.
The boat trip and aperitif cost 20 euro which can be paid onboard.

Bike Night from Ferrara to the Sea
16th & 17th June
Meeting point at Parco Massari from 8.30 p.m. onwards.
Departure at midnight!
Don’t worry, this is not a race. It is a bike ride along the River Po by night, which is suitable for everyone’s cycling skills. There is a proper cycle path which is flat, three refreshment stops along the way and breakfast upon arrival at the sea. This event started in 2014 and has become a really popular. You must register, either on-line beforehand or on the day (but this will be subject to availability). At the meeting point in Parco Massari, you can hire bikes, helmets and even event insurance for a small fee. There is then a coach which takes you and your bike back to Ferrara at 8 a.m. or midday, which costs 20 euro (for you and your bike).

La Giostra del Borgo
Ippodromo Comunale di Ferrara, 31 (off Via Bologna)
On Sunday 10th June there is a children’s festival which starts at 4.30 p.m.
There will be archery, a medieval workshop and an opportunity for the children to try flag-waving and drums. At 5 p.m. there are pony rides and at 5.30 p.m. a theatre performance.
There will be story-telling and a possibility to meet the children’s author Luigi Dal Cin.
An official programme for La Giostra del Borgo has not been published yet.
It usually has other events going on through the week and at the weekends. It certainly has a food fair on from 7th June until 24th June (see below) and the children’s festival mentioned above. The food fair, which opens at 7.30 p.m. every evening, advertises a Medieval market, firework displays, films and theatre for children. The main events are most likely to be at the weekends.

Ferrara – Giostro del Borgo

At the Giostro del Borgo festival mentioned above there are some great food stands with interesting dishes to try. There are of course the traditional Ferrarese dishes, but there is also seafood risotto, wild boar and polenta, beef with rocket and parmesan, fried eel and squid rings.

Chiostro di San Paolo, Via Boccaleone, 19. Stands open on Fridays at 8 p.m. and 7.30 p.m. on Saturdays and Sundays.
Try tiny skewers of pork or liver, a mixed grill, ‘Cappelletti’, ‘Cappellacci’ and a selection of traditional deserts to choose from.

This fantastic food festival celebrates first courses and there really is an enormous choice of them! The menu sounds amazing and incudes a variety of pasta, risotto and lasagna with exciting sauces such as, hare, saffron, mushrooms, fish, clams, truffle…
